Where graphene battery is mostly used?

graphene battery

Graphene is a unique compound because it has a sheet of carbon atoms that are placed in a pattern very similar to a honeycomb. But despite all of that, it’s one of the strongest, thinnest materials out there and it’s also very conductive too. With that in mind, there are a multitude of ways you can use a graphene battery, and here are some of the best.

Samsung phones

After the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco where some batteries blew up, Samsung strived to find new ways to store energy without putting the lives of their customers in danger. And as you can see, that’s how the graphene battery idea came to be.

Some of the current and upcoming Samsung phones and other electronics are set to use a graphene battery because it’s better, easier to use and more efficient. In addition, it can store up to 5 times the amount of energy a regular battery can store. This is a great opportunity for the company to go ahead and boost its reach in the industry.

Tesla is said to try and find new ways to store energy. Since their cars are relying on a battery basically, they are looking into using a graphene battery from now on. Being able to store more energy in a battery that has the same size as the old ones is a very good idea. The potential is there, and with help from the graphene battery Tesla might be able to win this and take the industry to the next level.

Electric busses

At this time more and more busses like the 1E bus in Serbia are relying on the use of a graphene battery. Again, the ability to use a battery for so much more time than ever before is extremely impressive.

Of course this requires the addition of more charging stations into the city, but the possibility is there, and we need to stop this as much as possible. It’s a great and powerful opportunity for cities to expand and also improve their transportation system while also protecting the environment.

Industrial machinery is also receiving a great boost from graphene battery models too. This is a newer concept and not as popular for the industry, but it definitely starts to grow in importance, and it has the potential to pay off quite a bit.

One thing is certain, every industry or product that relies on energy storage will find the use of a graphene battery something very helpful and reliable. Granted, it does take quite a bit of time to achieve the ultimate battery storage time, but the results can be really good if everything is handled adequately.

We believe that while graphene batteries are not very popular right now, things will change as soon as more and more high tier companies like Samsung will start using them. The potential is there, all we have to do is to make the idea of using a graphene battery mainstream and soon many devices will get to benefit from it!
